Help make the Van Go, and we don't mean the painter!

Our band, Gas Station Disco, is one of the top 10 best new Breakout bands according to Touchtunes, a ranking we reached after the success of our latest record, "Port and Starboard". The main reason of our success has always been our supportive fans; we wouldn’t be where we are today without them, and we are eternally grateful for the possibilities they’ve created for us as a band. We are now getting ready to move ahead into a national tour, and we can’t do it without a reliable tour van. Our hope is to raise money to purchase a tour van! 

Gas Station Disco was founded in 2010 in Pottsville, PA. Our goal was to offer a new, special, simple type of music for our audience, who kept giving us more reasons to live up to their expectations show after show. Our fans are our main motivation, and we know they are the reason we’ve made it as far as we have. Now we want to reach out to them, as well as new listeners, to help us make the next step. There’s just one technical limitation holding us back from fulfilling our destiny.

Why We Need Your Help

We are seeking $10,000 to pay for a reliable tour van so that we can make it around the country to play in more places than we’ve ever been able to before. The truck we have now has served us well for years, but it’s given us everything it has. A new van will be the investment we need to continue leveraging our growing success as far as it can go. It could be the single defining factor that makes the difference between our band making it big, or dying just before we were really able to take off. We don’t want that to happen, and we want to reward everyone who has supported our dreams along the way.

We’d like to offer as many incentives as possible for those who are able to donate the money we will need to make this happen. The funds gathered from this campaign will be used to purchase one of the suitable vans we’ve already scouted,and go towards letting the world know that Gas Station Disco exists. We view touring as the absolute best way to really get in touch with fans, and reach out beyond the limits of just recordings of our music into the real world of performance. The van is what will make that possible.

We’d like to serve as an inspiration for other aspiring musicians to get out there and release their music to the world through the crowdfunding model. We believe we’ve barely tapped the surface of all the people who will love the music we bring into the world, and our upcoming tour might be the door that gets them interested in what we produce. Tell your friends to contribute so we can promote it to the world. Sharing this campaign on your social media profile is just as valuable to us as an actual financial pledge.

We are also having a contest called "Find A Van & Instagram". How it works is you find a 15 passenger van in your travels and you take a picture of it and include details about the van in the description such as location, phone #, etc and if we end up purchasing a van that you found, we'll give you $100. Get snapping!
